Counselling Modalities
I am trained as an integrative counsellor, which enables me to function effectively as a Humanistic counsellor while employing various therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic, Existential, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Experiential (PCE), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT), and Somatic interventions. I adopt a trauma-informed approach and consistently provide mindfulness and regulatory exercises to create and maintain a safe, calm environment for my clients.
Your progress is dependent on our working relationship which is top priority. I encourage your involvement with identifying goals, blockages and challenges you may face. I am also a qualified Hypnotherapist; which for some clients can provide a valuable extension to my tool kit.

The importance of choosing a Counsellor who is registered in the UK –
‘Counsellors and psychotherapists are one of the largest healthcare professions not regulated by law. The title of ‘counsellor’ is not protected so anyone can set up a practice and call themselves Counsellor or Psychotherapist.‘
Being on a professional and transparent register ‘provides an extra level of reassurance for your clients. It shows them that you’ve met demanding standards in education, training, competence, and professional conduct.‘
